The family practices gentle parenting and learning through play, and would like a nanny who is comfortable and familiar with these approaches.
The family is flexible regarding the exact schedule, but would like between 25-40 consistent hours/week.

5 year old boy has Autism, and will be in school for 3 hours each day during the school year.
He also receives weekly, in-home Speech and Occupational Therapies 3x week.
He is able to communicate the majority of his wants and needs, and mostly utilizes scripting to do so.
In Occupational Therapy, he is working on getting more comfortable with different foods and sounds.
He enjoys music and parallel play.
He is hyperlexic, and has an interest in early elementary academics, such as counting items to 100, colors, spelling, etc.
The family is anti ABA and will not tolerate any behavioral instruction towards their children from this practice.
Candidates with a background in ABA will be considered if they are open to respecting the parents wishes.
The 1.
5 year old girl is typically developing, full of life and occasionally will test boundaries or rile her brother up.
She is starting to learn words and is speaking more every day.
She is sassy and loves to dance to nursery rhymes, pretend-play with her stuffed animals, and watch her favorite movie Boss Baby on Netflix when screen time is allowed.
She is beginning to learn some basic baby signs and a nanny who is familiar with this is a plus.
General Duties of the Nanny Include:
Engaging the children in developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities around the home Creating and engaging in activities that develop motor skills Keeping track of the children's milestones and communicating progress with parents Going for walks & supervising play at neighborhood parks Meal and snack prep for children Facilitating naptimes and occasional bathtimes General tidying of main areas at end of day (ex:
playrooms, living room, dining room etc) During Down Time (ex:
when the children are at school/sleeping and nanny has had a lunch break):
